Hello, I'm wondering if I should reset the CMOS or perform any other steps before replacing my CPU and RAM. Should I just power down the PC, remove the old parts, and install the new ones? Right now I have an i5 9400f and plan to upgrade to an i7 9700k. My current RAM is PATRIOT 2666mhz with two 8GB sticks, and I want to switch to Corsair Vengeance 3200mhz 8GB sticks. Thanks for your advice!

For a 9700K it works, but I favor 8700K and 9900K instead since hyperthreading matters.

I made sure my CPU and RAM would work with my motherboard before placing the order. Now I’m really worried about upgrading them. I’m afraid the PC might not power on or could show blue screens after the changes, which is really upsetting.
