You can find affordable fiber internet nearby. Currently, my plan offers 300 Mbps, but I’ve had issues getting a stable connection from my porch. I’m considering switching to gigabit internet to improve the signal strength. I’m wondering if a stronger signal would make a difference. In theory, it could help because Wi-Fi weakens with distance and becomes slower. I expect once the signal reaches my desired location it would be strong enough for use.

Improved internet speed won't extend your wireless signal range. Consider increasing the router's dB gain to boost transmission, placing an additional access point closer to your needs for better coverage, or using a mesh network. For very long distances, achieving gigabit speeds wirelessly is unlikely.

Consider a solid router or a mesh setup. Your TP ink display works well.

Your internet service isn't related to WiFi coverage or signal quality. Consider installing a hub to improve connectivity in areas with weak signals.

Improved speed doesn't guarantee wider coverage.
