Consider installing the SSD directly with Windows 10, or you could migrate Windows 8.1 from the HDD to Windows 10.

Transfer Windows 8.1 from the hard drive to the SSD, then upgrade. This maintains your license key and all files, desktop configuration, etc.

You can use the USB installer with Windows 10. Click the upgrade button to proceed with the installation.
