Hello! I’m completely new to how computers function, but I’ve noticed my motherboard might be a bit old. Right now I’m using an Asus B450 with a Ryzen 9 3900X. I’m thinking about switching to a newer board that has more than two M.2 slots and Bluetooth support. I’m open to suggestions and have plenty of budget available.

No extra m.2 slots aren't necessary. You can purchase a PCIe M.2 card if needed. A USB Bluetooth dongle is simple to locate and use, and it doesn't require installation on the motherboard.

I really enjoy the MSI B550 Tomahawk. The B550 Tuf gaming version is also good. You can usually find both for around $100 or less on Amazon Warehouse.

However, as mentioned by someone, your mobile device is okay. Consider Zen 4 for a genuine boost. The 3900x remains a powerful CPU nonetheless.

Absolutely, you won’t miss anything regarding performance. I switched from B450 to B550, but there’s no noticeable change. My second M.2 slot remains unused because I don’t see the need for another drive. The SATA and HDD are still sufficient for storage purposes.

Take this advice seriously. Your current setup works well. If you plan to upgrade your CPU or GPU by one generation, consider getting a new X570 or B550. Otherwise, it's fine as is. There won't be much performance improvement between the existing graphics card and a $1000 model, just a few more convenient features.

Do not upgrade. Hold off until AM4 or Intel 13th generation becomes available.

Thanks! Your configuration sounds solid. For about a year or two, it should still deliver good performance, especially if you're using it for gaming or productivity tasks.

The 2080ti is an incredible machine. In my view, it outperforms the 3070 thanks to the extra 3GB VRAM and wider bus. It also gets overclocked much better than the 3070, particularly with the "300A" model—most cards come in that version. The standard 300 is mainly for initial releases. I’d go all out with overclocking on your 2080ti and call it a win. Spend wisely, enjoy your rig, and it’ll stay solid for years to come. It might slow a bit and the card could eventually fail, but you’ll be fine in the long run. Here are some helpful guides to boost your setup: https://www.overclock.net/threads/offici...b.1706276/
