I have an ASUS Prime A320M-A and attempted to boost the RAM speed to 3200MHz without increasing the voltage. My error led to a failure to post. I cleared the CMOS by removing the battery, held it for 3 minutes, then left it for 5 hours. While I was at work, the issue persisted.
Use the clear CMOS button or jumper as specified in the motherboard manual.
I tried that too, managed to get it working after a 5-minute boot cycle. Not sure if it would have worked otherwise. For the RAM voltage, you should match the manufacturer's specifications.
