I encounter some issues with my VR setup. The main problems are jittering frames or complete freezes. I’ve played Half Life Alyx, VTOL VR, Beatsaber, and Tabletop Simulator. I’m using a Meta Quest 2 connected via a Razer Blade from 2023 with a Ryzen 9 5900HX, RTX 3080 Mobile, and 16GB RAM. I usually keep the blade closed at 1440p Ultrawide or switch to an open blade on the Razer Blade. Beat Saber tends to shake or jump partial frames, sometimes showing strange visuals. Half Life Alyx works well until it freezes unexpectedly—often during loading or gameplay, and it doesn’t recover. I mainly use SteamVR for most games but also have the OpenXR Toolkit installed. SteamVR seems to load slowly, which is confusing. I’m probably running at 90Hz, but unsure about resolution settings or scale. It might default to the headset’s standard resolution, which can cause instability. I don’t think I’m using overly demanding graphics, but I want to improve my experience. Any suggestions?
What OS are you running? If it's Windows 11, that might be the issue. I've faced several problems with Windows 11 and VR. Personally, I've switched between Windows 10 and 11 for VR, using Windows 10 when I don't have any issues.
Apologies for the delayed response—I didn’t catch the notification. It’s likely several factors affect VR stability, and persistent problems at low settings may point to software rather than hardware.
