Try adjusting the scaling factor in system settings rather than using xrandr commands. You can set it to around 1.5 directly in gsettings for a smoother experience.

I tested it once and my result was scaling on Linux improved Windows' appearance significantly.

The display on your 13.3-inch laptop appears very small. On Windows, you should enable the recommended default scaling.

Back then there were several methods for scaling, but the one you mentioned was the only one that worked with whole numbers—probably because it was too complex for your needs. The alternatives let you use fractions but felt sluggish.

Using the 720 resolution setting isn't advisable. Boosting the font size to bigger works well.

We talked about this a while back. Above 1080p, Unity is the only functional desktop I can use. I think there should be updates for Gnome, but I haven’t been keeping up with them.

Make sure your xrandr command is targeting DFP2. Your setup photo is included for reference.
