Hey everyone, I've adjusted the volume mixer to 25 on my Windows 10 PC, but when I start these games it always returns to 100 and makes my ears hurt. The current titles are COD Cold War and Modern Warfare—any advice would be appreciated!

Based on what I recall, new programs typically use the full main volume slider. When you launch the program and close it, the window retains the volume level you set for that app. Microsoft chose to save these settings under a specific registry path. If Windows isn’t storing volume preferences per app, you may need to stop the audio service, remove the key, and recreate it. A .bat script exists on the Microsoft forum to automate this process. Remember to make a backup or restore point beforehand.
