Enhance System Support

Hello, I'm considering upgrading my motherboard, CPU, and AIO cooler. I'd prefer not to change my RAM unless necessary. I'm seeking advice on potential compatibility concerns with these new parts. The planned components are a Z490 gaming board, Intel i7-10700KF, Corsair H100i liquid cooler, and a 32GB Kingston Hyper X Fury DDR4 RAM paired with an Nvidia GTX 1070 Ti. Are there any compatibility issues I should be aware of? Should I go for the 10700K instead of the KF just in case the GPU needs to be used temporarily? Thanks ahead!

I don't have a CPU or RAM speed, and I prefer not to use Ryzen.

The processor is an i5-6600 with a lockup, RAM speed is 2133 MHz. I haven’t focused much on Ryzen yet, but for running flight simulations I need solid performance from Intel systems.

It should function properly, though it runs a bit slower compared to the newer processor. The impact will vary based on your activities—gaming should still be fine.

It works well for a typical gaming setup with Intel right now. Having it on hand is handy for any troubleshooting needs. Plus, you can swap out the dedicated graphics card later and repurpose it for your office PC in the future.
