Hello, I recently moved up from a 9700k to a 12700f and am happy with the overall performance. However, when I check the single-core speed of my specific chip versus others (12700f), it seems to be underperforming. I’ve set both PL1 and PL2 to maximum and applied a -0.70 voltage undervolt. For cooling, I’m using a 420mm Arctic AIO and it stays below 50°C. I’m not sure why the boost only reaches 4.3ghz—any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Here’s a clearer version:
I follow 64 guidelines for monitoring. For temperature readings, I use the package temps, and for voltage, I rely on the vcore display on the motherboard. I’m using Cinebench R23 for testing.

No, you cannot consistently reach 4.9GHz with standard BIOS configurations without adjustments.

The vCore drop isn't necessarily tied to the specific core frequency change alone. It depends on various factors including the RAM type and whether LLC is enabled. Check your motherboard's documentation or settings for precise details.

Hmm, it seems as if you would have to increase LLC. Since this is a locked processor (meaning you cannot overclock it), I don't think you can do that.

The LLC is likely accessible with some unlocked tuning options, though not BCLK tuning. How ambitious should you aim for—extreme or turbo settings?
