I just set up Unreal Engine on my Mac with Big Sur. Before that, I had Xcode and the command line tool on Catalina, but when I tried to launch Unreal Engine it reported an issue about missing Xcode installation. The error mentioned needing Xcode and a valid developer directory. My terminal shows tools are present, yet no updates are available.

No, I haven't tried opening Xcode or accepted any license terms.

You have Xcode set up and have agreed to the licensing agreement.

You needed to set the Xcode path with sudo and it resolved. Appreciate the help!

Hello, i am having the same issue and the solutions i've read on here have not worked for me. I installed the engine first, then xcode 12.5 beta 2 from the Apple website. Now whenever i open Unreal from the launcher, it brings the same error as in the screen shot above. I'm new to Macs, any suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks
