Experiencing inconsistent pricing and limited availability for some time. Encouraging customers to choose B850 as the standard option. Seems fairly routine.

It's interesting that the B550 chipset is expected to last longer than the B650. It feels a bit odd, though. It's similar to how B350 and B450 likely had comparable lifespans, and it seems like the final AM5 B series chips will offer the most extended support.

Should still be. I can't find it anymore but I saw something about AMD commiting to support AM4 until like end of 2025. And it kinda makes sense given the relatively recently released ryzen 5000 chips. System integrators are probably still using and selling AM4 systems as well.

The B850 boards remain available for a long time due to their PCIe 5.0 compatibility, which is rare among B650 models.
