I understand everyone has their views, but yours seems incorrect. Windows 8 and 8.1 are perfectly fine. People often criticize them just to join the Hate Windows 8 movement.

Microsoft seems to have a significant presence, often promoting XP support while pushing Windows 8 as the main option.
