eBay or r/hardwareswap works well for this. I acquired my X99 Classified from an EVGA B-Stock listing, but they’re no longer available for sale after the midweek rush. The other pieces I’ve found are from eBay, and an X79 board I purchased through the Classifieds section here (you need 100 posts to view it).
I bought the i5 along with the Z390 Aorus Ultra. I understand that when Intel introduces its next-gen i7 and i9 models, the current generation tends to become more affordable. The I5 was essentially a short-term fix. In my mind, I was planning to upgrade to an i9 later this year once my finances stabilize.
