CPU : Ryzen 5 2600 (With stock cooler) GPU : RX 6600 (MSI Mech 2x) PSU : BeQuiet System power 9 400w MOBO : Asus TUF b450 plus ii STORAGE : 1x M.2 SN550 , 1x 870 evo RAM : Patriot 2x8 DDR4 2133 Hello, I recently acquired a used RX 6600 to swap in my outdated 1050 Ti. I've only managed a slight boost in FPS on certain games, even after optimization. In titles like War Thunder and Squad Assault, I occasionally experience sudden lag spikes—sometimes dropping from 115-150 FPS to around 20, or from 50 FPS to just 10 for a few seconds. This has led me to suspect the CPU might be the issue, though it's not reaching its maximum speed. Additionally, my GPU memory tends to run full during Squad or Escape from Tarkov, and my RAM usage stays high at 90%-95%. I've updated all drivers, reformatted the SSD, tried uninstalling and reinstalling games, and even used FSR, but it doesn't improve performance regardless of settings. The graphical bar resizes automatically, and I always end other processes like Chrome or Spotify while playing these demanding titles.
Yeye, I removed it using ddu but that doesn't matter because I set up my computer a week ago for this problem.
I recently faced a comparable problem—does your setup use a riser for the GPU? My experience showed that the new GPU wasn't fully compatible, causing several issues like significant frame drops. @Tsokerinos
