Memory training isn't problematic unless you prioritize your time. It doesn't cause damage, but it might disappear if your system has sufficient RAM. It's worth trying. Having several 32GB USB sticks on hand is usually a smart move.

I think I'll see if dual channel helps shorten the startup when RAM is swapped out. This is my first build, and my partner brought over a USB for Windows and WiFi drivers, though I didn't need them before. I'll let you know once I install the new RAM and/or update the BIOS.

This person noticed slight improvements in boot times using dual-channel RAM, then observed further reductions after a recent BIOS update. They reported boot durations dropping from around 60 seconds to about 5 seconds following those changes.
