I’ve saved a trial copy of Windows from their website and installed it using a USB drive because my computer lacks a hard drive. Over time, I received a genuine Windows key from a physical store. The disk isn’t working since I already mentioned it wouldn’t function properly. It’s refusing to activate, making it hard to use. Is there a solution to bypass this issue?

Visit the official site to generate a USB installation media for Windows 10; https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download...nload-tool. After connecting to the internet, you should be able to properly activate your system. It's likely you're attempting to activate the incorrect version of Windows.

I recommend choosing @Insp1r3, since I applied the same approach to my friend's issue.

This action is likely to delete files on your OS drive. After installation, changes will depend on what you did before and what you installed. To proceed, you’ll need to follow the specific steps for your system.

It will delete the files, so save them elsewhere—such as an external HDD or USB drive—during the installation. For Microsoft apps like Office, reach out via their live chat for assistance; links provided: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/contactus/ (USA) and https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/contactus/ (GB)
