Hey everyone, I updated my old Asus laptop with an SSD, but when trying to install Windows 7 it kept failing because the drivers weren't working. The installation was supposed to go to the hard drive, which I had removed. Now I’m stuck and need to make a recovery image. I also have issues with Ai Recovery Burner—it asks for a 6 DVD disc, which is confusing. I don’t want to rely on that method and prefer a more traditional approach, but I’m having trouble finding the right steps. Please help me out!

How to make a restore image of a partition, so it copies everything from Windows and lets you reinstall the OS when you add a CD.

You're setting up a restore image partition. Which files are you transferring? Which device drivers will you add? And why are you relying on a CD for this process?

CD refers to DVD since that’s the only option I’m aware of. Needed drivers for the laptop are all there, and I’m planning to make a restore partition.

Get the ISO file here. Burn it onto a DVD or USB drive, then apply your CD key for installation. You likely need the x64 version.

Thanks, I've already done that—it won't let me install the drivers.

Yes, you performed that action. This appears to be a fresh setup of version 7.
