Over time on Windows, your SSD performance shifts from SATA 3 to SATA 2 speeds. It works okay for a short while, but after prolonged use it drops from 6Gbps to 3Gbps. I changed the cable, but it didn’t help. It seems the issue might be related to power management features like APM, especially since your new BX500 lacks that capability. My old drive from four years ago had APM and still performed well, so it could be the newer hardware or settings affecting it.
