Encountered warning: Signal is outside acceptable limits. Adjust resolution to 1440x900 at 60hz.
I bought a new gaming PC yesterday and set it up on my TV right away. My TV is 4K and 65 inches, but since my monitor only accepts VGA input and the GPU outputs are DP or HDMI, it worked perfectly without any issues. Later I added an HDMI to VGA converter and connected the PC through the converter. The PC started up, but the monitor only displayed a loading screen with an error message: "Signal out of range. Change the resolution to 1440x900 60hz." I spent several hours trying different settings, powering it on and off, adjusting the resolution via the monitor, but nothing changed. Eventually I thought about reconnecting it to the TV and then back to the monitor, but even after that, the resolution wouldn’t switch to 1440x900. I’m really stuck and need help.
Confirming the details: are you looking for a refurbished unit or a brand new one? Keep in mind the e3-1225 v5 was released in 2015. Many sellers on eBay add GPUs to older workstations or office PCs and market them as gaming PCs, often charging more than the actual value.
It's not a refurbished unit, yet it isn't brand new. It's designed for a workstation, but the internal components have been entirely replaced. Do you have any solutions to your issue?
It looks like Windows is choosing a resolution that’s too high. The best fix might be connecting it to another display via the same HDMI port and adjusting the resolution to 1440x900. You can also try lowering the graphics card’s voltage and power limits, since 400W is below the recommended minimum for AMD.
It's the issue with the TV lacking a VGA port that's the main concern. I'll attempt to find a solution, as this appears to be the only option available. Thanks!
