I’m facing a problem where my monitors suddenly turn black with no output while editing videos in DaVinci Resolve. The GPU fans stop, suggesting it might be shutting down. This issue occurs during video scrubbing, timeline playback, or even when the program is idle. The only solution I’ve tried is pressing the power button and manually restarting the computer. It doesn’t happen while rendering or playing games, just during editing. My footage is a 4K, 60 FPS shot from an iPhone. I’m unable to locate any fixes online and find it really annoying to reset frequently—potentially losing work every few days. System details: Windows 10 Pro (64-bit), AMD Ryzen 7 2700, Asus PRIME X470-PRO BIOS 6232, Radeon RX 6800, AMD Adrenaline drivers, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro, Seagate ST4000 SSD, and a P1 1 TB NVME drive. I’m sure we can try that. Does GPU-Z have the capability to capture its information? I wouldn’t be able to observe what’s happening during crashes since I don’t know when they’ll occur. It seems odd to me, though it might be plausible—perhaps it would overheat or experience a voltage spike while editing, especially when the GPU is mostly idle compared to heavy rendering or gaming tasks. *Note:* After checking, HWiNFO appears to log data as well, and I plan to test it to see if it captures anything useful.

I’m also subscribing and encountering the same problem on a fresh Windows 11 Pro setup using Davinci build 19.1.4 build 11. The issue appears when running a 4K 60fps video with audio, especially during scrubbing. I’ve also tested shorter clips at 4K 30 for slow motion—they work without triggering the crash. This is on a brand new Windows 11 Pro installation.
Hardware: AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, 16-core processor, BaseBoard X570, 64GB RAM, GPU 6800 XT, latest drivers installed. I’m working from a NAS server drive.

I attempted to store some video files on an NVMe SSD rather than a Seagate HDD, but I keep experiencing random crashes. It's really annoying.
But does it fail under any other conditions? There are two approaches: install an Nvidia card or switch to another editing software. I checked both and saw what differences appeared. That’s the method I tried first.
As mentioned earlier, it only crashes during editing. Unfortunately, I don’t have funds to purchase and test an Nvidia GPU. I might explore other editing tools, but I’ll need everything to function properly in DaVinci, which is the software I’ve bought and rely on.
