Encountered an unusual problem with my PC recently.
I usually keep my PC on overnight. It’s set to sleep after about 20 minutes of inactivity. This morning I powered it on and everything was frozen. I had to use ctl+alt+del to restart it. It began to reboot but then at the login screen it shut down suddenly. I tried another reboot, but the power button didn’t respond and the RGB on the motherboard stopped working too. It wasn’t until I unplugged the power supply and held the power button for a few seconds that it came back online. My system uses a 5900x, X570 Tuf, 32GB 3600mZ CL16 Dual channel with a 3080 TI FE. I also have recurring USB dropouts, but the motherboard refuses to accept BIOS updates. Update: It worked fine until I put the tower back in its normal position, after which all video disappeared and I had to restart it again.
Checking if the AMD board supports this feature. I noticed two values—one for my board and one for my GPU (which is an AMD GPU)—leading to hangs and video problems. I’m curious if this issue exists without an AMD GPU and whether it’s causing similar problems with Nvidia GPUs.
