Encountered a system fault during operation and is no longer functioning properly
Recently, my internet connection has been very unreliable, leading to system freezes while playing games, surfing the web, and using Quick Settings in the taskbar. These issues often need a full reset to fix. I attempted troubleshooting and reviewed the Event Log, which displayed the error: "Wi-Fi 6 AX200 160MHz: Encountered an internal error and failed." To resolve it, I tried several steps—updating the OEM driver for the Wi-Fi card (no success), installing a generic driver (also no luck), and updating BIOS and chipset drivers (still not working). Others have faced the same problem but didn’t know how to fix it. I’d rather avoid reinstalling Windows and hope it doesn’t solve the issue. I’m confused about what to do next. Minidump.zip
Use the driver through Intel or the manufacturer's website for your motherboard.
Individuals have faced the same issue for three years. Solutions involved replacing their drivers. Could it be beneficial to look for an experienced older driver?
When an experienced driver is available, the investment is definitely worthwhile.
I experienced frequent problems with my Realtek Wi-Fi, which often prevented Windows from recognizing it at all. The device disappeared from the Device Manager entirely. I had to perform a Windows repair, which added its own challenges, and then I resorted to cloning disks for a functional backup. Although the Microsoft driver performed better than Realtek, it caused instability by treating the hardware like a fragile object. The drivers were extremely poor, making everyday use nearly impossible. This wasn't just about the equipment—it was the unreliable software that made everything worse. Using low-cost wireless gear is not worth the hassle or the stress it causes.
