Upgrading your CPU could significantly improve performance, especially for gaming. The FX-8320/8350 offer better architecture and more cores, making them a stronger choice. Could you tell me what motherboard and cooling solution you currently have installed?
It lacks PCIe 3.0, though this should only affect it marginally. (It should also be acknowledged in the other titles as well.)
If upgrading to Intel Core i5 or i7 isn't feasible, I suggest picking the most affordable FX-83XX models available and handling the overclocking yourself. FX-8320 and FX-8320E tend to be the best value, boosting performance significantly while staying under 4.2GHz. You won’t face any trouble with PCIe3.0, as PCIe 2.0 at x16 is more than sufficient for your graphics card.
Performed malware and PC scanner tests. Adjusted configurations (turned off gameworks features) to target Tomb Raider.
the card oc is present. If your oc is unstable and doesn't cause a crash, the card will lower its clock speed automatically until you restart. It seems like Tomb Raider might be increasing its load on the card. Other games don't seem affected.
You manage the game through your controls, but you experienced stuttering along with low FPS and audio issues. Initially, controller problems caused performance drops after extended playtime. You resolved it by updating drivers.
I just performed a system cleanup after installing a new SSD paired with my GPU. The card was originally overclocked by Sapphire, and I didn’t make any changes. However, after adding the AMD Gaming Center, I’m planning to test it later to see if it affects performance. I also ran several reboots during setup. Playing via keyboard and mouse, the game runs smoothly without stuttering. Audio remains consistent, but frame rates stay around 22fps across all graphics settings, peaking at 28/30fps on the lowest. Even my older HD 7850 would have improved things... Thanks for your support so far! It might take some time before a resolution is found.
I encountered my difficulties during the early stages of the game.
