Encounter problems with game rendering on Windows 10?

I just bought a Windows 10 laptop (MSI Apache Pro i7 6700HQ / GTX 970M) and gaming performed great until recently. When launching games, character models and most objects stop rendering. I can still interact with the environment, but I can't see what I'm engaging with. This problem affects all the games I've downloaded so far (The Witcher 3, Metro Last Light). I've tried updating drivers and the Windows itself without success. Please help.

It might relate to a driver problem or an HDD issue, since slow loading on an SSD or HDD can affect rendering. Try updating drivers to version 353.62 for better stability. If that doesn’t help, the 970M drive or OS behavior could be causing the trouble.

it's stored on an HDD but performance isn't just slow for loading—objects aren't rendering properly, only the terrain loads. I'm testing 353.62 now, which worked before.

It seems like the hard drive is faulty, so I'm swapping it out for an SSD.
