I'm facing issues with downloading through Uplay. I've searched extensively for a fix and tried several methods without success. The download often halts unexpectedly, usually within about a minute, and sometimes it stops mid-way. It also doesn't respond to pause or resume commands, and other game elements freeze while this happens. It feels like the app crashes intermittently—sometimes it restarts after a short delay, then fails again, sometimes instantly. When it does stop downloading, CPU usage stays high as if it were still in progress. The launcher logs record some errors: [20984] 2017-12-08 14:28:55 [10216] ERROR DownloadSlice.cpp (262) Failed to decompress data (FF59AEDCE3FCB5A40E59DBBF76EACCA63F0470F0) [20984] 2017-12-08 14:28:55 [10216] ERROR DownloadSlice.cpp (467) Download size mismatch, was 0, should be 1881235. I've tried many things so far—scanning for malware, disabling programs, running as admin, reinstalling, changing disks, rebooting, leaving downloads overnight, using different Wi-Fi, and limiting speed—but nothing works consistently. Earlier, when I downloaded AC:Origins via Uplay, everything went smoothly. I'm running Windows 10 Pro with the latest updates, 4.2 GHz processor, 16GB RAM, MSI GTX 1070 (original). I'm hoping you can offer any suggestions or help from others who've faced similar problems.

Report to UPlay—this feels odd. Are you looking to download something else? Maybe test a free trial to check if it’s a launcher or a game.

I filed a ticket but haven't received any reply yet. Checking their FAQs and forums doesn’t seem to yield helpful answers. I managed to download AC:Origins about a week ago. Recently, I tried another game as suggested, just to confirm. Downloading World in Conflict (6gb) worked smoothly in just five minutes. Maybe it was a coincidence or related to the file size. It looks like there might be an issue on their end, which is surprising since I haven’t seen any recent discussions about it. Appreciate your feedback.

they'll wait about a week before replying after you file the ticket, which isn't ideal at the start.
