Encounter issues when games stop working with DirectX12?
You're experiencing frequent crashes in Dx12 games after playing for a while. Previous issues disappeared after reinstalling drivers or updating BIOS, but the problem persists now. Some games run smoothly on Dx11 while Dx12 causes constant failures. Your hardware is quite advanced with an overclocked GPU and high-end components, yet stability remains an issue. I'm here to help you troubleshoot further.
Do you have all your drivers current? If yes, are you using the chosen device in your Nvidia settings labeled as "High Performance Nvidia Driver"? Navigate to Windows 10 Settings, select Gaming, then Game Mode. Enable it (unless it previously caused issues) and proceed to Graphics settings. Your games should appear there; if not, choose Browse and pick the installation folder. Click on the game, select Options, then High Performance. This resolved a similar issue for me and may assist you. When prompted, Windows attempts power-saving modes which can be frustrating. Let me know your experience. That's correct, in most games dx12 is just an extra consideration. Choosing dx11 gives improved performance and stability. It's a win-win!
