I'm trying to configure a Minecraft server and everything seems ready...or at least I think it is. However, when I start the server, I can't connect. For comparison, my ARK server runs fine on the same machine. I've opened all the necessary ports, but joining still doesn't work. My main question is: in the command prompt, does "starting Minecraft server on *:25565" include an IP address for the wildcard? Also, since I'm just starting out, any extra help or visuals would be super helpful.

I managed to add my IP address and it worked, but connection remains an issue.
I confirmed the firewall allowed traffic on both TCP and UDP ports, and verified the router permitted the Minecraft server access.

That’s your device’s local IP address. You can verify it using Task Manager’s network settings or the address bar in the Network tab.

I managed to enter my IP address, yet it doesn’t appear when launching the server. Additionally, since you’re using the Microsoft Loopback adapter, your PC seems to have two IPv4 addresses, but you haven’t tested either one.

I’ve successfully linked to the server via the machine it’s running on, but I’m still unable to reach the actual device.

No firewall installed on the PC hosting the server or network.

It shouldn't be because I'm operating an ARK server on the same machine and I've set everything up identically, though I'll verify again

Check if the command prompt displays any output during the join process.

Do you require any additional permissions or configurations for the server to function properly?

Are there any devices connected to your local network? If yes, the issue might be linked to your network settings.
