Set up Ubuntu 18.04 normally in Hyper-V using SteamCache as a server. I powered off the virtual machine and couldn’t boot again, appearing with a black screen. In GNU I’m trying to fix broken packages and encountered an error at the link you shared. The SSD I have is clearly spacious enough, but Hyper-V reports it’s full. According to the system summary, there should be space available. With 500GB of cached games on the VM, I ended up reinstalling Ubuntu this time. This time I made sure the disk size was set to 930GB instead of the default 465GB.

There isn’t enough room on the live boot drive, especially the SSD.

I can help with that. Just let me know what you're trying to fix and I'll guide you through it.

You're unable to work with the current image size. For damaged packages, start the VM, then use Ctrl+Alt+F1 to fix them.

To ensure your new VM uses more than 465GB, check the available space and adjust the size accordingly. You have 930GB free, which is sufficient for a larger VM. If needed, resize the VM or allocate additional resources during setup.

This relates to the original query about expanding disk size in Hyper-V.

I've already attempted it, but the system size remains unaffected.
