I have a laptop where I intend to set up Freenas for a home server, while also needing it to stay functional for Windows 10 on a VM. Can this device support both tasks simultaneously? I’ve learned about a technique called GPU passthrough but only integrated the GPU itself. Is it possible for the laptop to remain usable and run Windows 10 alongside Freenas in the background?

You cannot. The best option is to install FreeNAS inside a virtual machine.
