Yes, there are legitimate 3ds emulators available now. They have been developed and updated since then, offering players access to the game.

No, we're talking about development mode or early-stage pre-production tools—not the DS or Gameboy emulators.

No emulators available yet. Still hasn't learned of any project either. But I believe it'll be a short wait. Just grab a 2DS—they're really affordable.

I already own a 3DS, but one of the main reasons I want an emulator is the larger display and the ability to generally run games faster.

It's interesting how emulation developed over time. Nintendo DS emulation likely emerged around four years after its launch, while Wii became popular 2-3 years later since GameCube emulation was already underway. I'm not sure about the timeline for other systems.

I understood what you were referring to, but it’s completely unrelated. Speedrunning differs from running a ROM hack. The issue wasn’t about speedrunning itself, but rather how another game was essentially built using Nintendo’s original design (a speedrun aid was added). Luke’s comment about “Don't go after a charity event” was completely out of place, as most of what I’ve seen involves playing the standard versions on the actual console. So no, you misunderstood entirely.
