Consider routers that support OpenWRT firmware with VLAN capabilities on switches, allowing one port to serve as an additional WAN connection. A high-performance device would likely be needed to meet the speed requirements. You might also explore using a budget PC running pfSense, which is the only approach I’ve tried personally.
We don’t need a single thread, though multi-threaded downloads are possible. It’s annoying to learn that most game download services still rely on single-threaded transfers. Still, it would help prevent them from overwhelming the network.
