Hello! Let's start with a brief introduction. I’m part of a local shop in Sweden that specializes in repairing and selling hardware. We’ve been working here for several years. Recently, a customer brought in his PC thinking it had EMI-related problems such as desync, pop-ins, and artifacting. He moved the machine around different apartments but never resolved the issue—except for the mouse delay, which seemed to improve.

He asked if I could test an old cable from his PS5 or PC that exhibited similar issues into a new setup, so he could see if it caused the same problems. After two days of testing, he paid for the evaluation. We connected a power cable and display port into the device he thought had EMI issues, then switched it to a brand-new hardware. Within 2-3 days, he noticed what he was describing.

The artifacting effect happens when the screen moves and causes visible desync or pop-ins in certain games. Even on YouTube, similar pop-ins appeared during gameplay, which was unusual. We compared a working PC with one that had issues, and surprisingly, the functioning machine didn’t show pop-ins on the same videos as the problematic one. It seemed like the content changed depending on the hardware. Gaming also experienced more noticeable pop-ins, making it even worse.

I’m still trying to figure out what’s causing this strange behavior, but I’m open to any suggestions. This situation is really puzzling and hasn’t been seen before. Please share your thoughts—I’d appreciate any help in understanding what might be going on.

Well, it wasn’t what I was aiming for. Instead of pressuring me, just try to resolve my issue. I noticed my name matches the person I mentioned, but I entered it because I wanted to document potential problems so I could get assistance if needed. That’s why it might seem like we’re similar. But this wasn’t the main point I was making. I’m actually looking for a clear answer to my question. With that mindset, you probably shouldn’t bother at all or even join these forums. Also, don’t forget—forums are meant for helpers, not for someone trying to solve their own problems.
