Bonjour,
Merci beaucoup !

When the maker (HP here) doesn't provide the BIOS on their site, it's a tough situation. Obtaining it from unreliable places can seriously damage your setup.

As @Former_Bubblehead mentioned earlier, searching for a BIOS that no longer exists on the manufacturer's support page only exposes you to risk. I checked again and found that the results from search sites don’t seem trustworthy. In reality, the best approach is to let the laptop sit idle—retire it or display it as a relic of tech history. My two thoughts.
Moved the discussion about motherboards to the Laptop Tech Support section.

Okay, that wasn't easy.
This is a link to HP's official resource. But it's not a BIOS, it's a monitor driver.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-6...60550.html
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp60501-6...p60550.exe
The mention of this BIOS remains here, but the .exe file itself has been deleted.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp66501-6...66880.html
And people are asking HP how they can get it without paying $59! I've never seen anything like this!

I'm afraid you'll have to use third-party resources to update the BIOS. Be sure to have a backup of your working BIOS before experimenting.
Good luck!

I encountered a situation similar to yours, but I was unlucky. Toshiba completely stopped supporting my laptop model, and not a single archived version survived. But you have a chance.
Two things surprise me most:
1. The vendor's disregard for its users.
2. The commentators who think this is okay and then offer advice on what you should or shouldn't use instead of helping.
I'll be damned on this forum, I can feel it.
