Whispers indicate the announcement will come two days prior to the scheduled date, meaning the embargo should lift around the 25th. I wouldn't expect it any earlier.

It was rescheduled for September 27th. Certain people mentioned it connected to BIOS problems or similar. On AMD's site, the launch date now reads 27th.
