Typically, they're secured with plastic clips that are satanic in design or fastened from the bottom side of the board.

For what purpose? It’s designed with a heatsink and shouldn’t be used otherwise. How should I handle this? Check the back for pushpins, they’re probably needed.

I will delete this item to prepare for installing the WiFi antennas. I intend to reinstall it later.

What is this about? You seem confused—why would anyone need to take out the heatsink to connect a Wi-Fi antenna?

I'm removing it to install WiFi antennas and will reinstall later. The VRM heat sink is already in place.

OK, I just wanted to make sure. Yeah, you need to remove the board from the case, and there should be two screws holding it on from the underside. If you're trying to route the WiFi antenna to the rear IO though, you can probably do that without removing the IO shield, there's enough of a gap to shove the antenna wire into.
