Has anyone tried this game? I've read some reviews but want to skip the spoilers. Found "Eurojank" amusing, though I enjoyed "The Technomancer" after playing a while and leveling up—it helped me get the controls down. The karma/relationship system was interesting, tracking how you interact with NPCs and factions. I haven't finished it yet, but I might revisit it later to see how things unfold.
I just saw a short clip online, really only glanced through it. It feels strange to see old times like medieval scenes, dinosaurs, and then a robot.
I saw a video by 'ACG' that gives me a good overview. The post-apocalyptic setting features different groups, some avoiding technology while others rely on it. There are tech leaders and survivors who must decide their path forward. It feels unique because you can choose your own route, though it has a challenging learning curve and the combat is quite rough at times.
It’ll feel more like The Witcher 2: Orklands and similar titles rather than the ultra-smooth AAA games you talked about. Still need to tackle the first Mordor entry. Share your experience, push through the early stages, and adjust as you learn the system.
There are two Elix threads because they serve different purposes. I've been playing for about 3-4 hours now and enjoy the game. If you've played Gothic or Risen, you'll notice similarities but with a jetpack twist. While those games were solid, this version has its own issues, especially in combat.
The early screens seemed great, but once you played through the game, it didn’t look very good.
Looking back on this thread, it’s clear I should have checked before sharing. Fresh in the community, perhaps someone can help merge these two? I’m curious about how the combat feels compared to The Technomancer—after some leveling, it actually ran smoothly unless you’re under attack from hordes of emenies.
The game relies heavily on your character's stamina for combat. You deal quick, weak hits followed by slower, stronger ones, forming combos that fill your meter until you unleash a special attack. Early on, stamina is scarce—only 3-4 hits possible before you're out—and attacks stop until you regain it. Blocking helps but drains stamina, and dodging consumes it too. The experience feels a bit uneven, which is why I think a patch improving its flow would help. Ranged weapons function well, but you’re limited to a single bow so far. This video seems to explain the combo system more clearly than I expected.
Top Piranha Game after Gothic 2. It may feel a bit outdated during battles, but the handcrafted environment and content shine. For those who enjoy a tough RPG without guidance and value meaningful choices and outcomes, it’s worth the effort. It doesn’t get smooth right away—early sessions can feel stiff—but once you’re in, the world immerses you. A true explorer’s paradise. Ideal for players who want to think critically to survive in a harsh setting. Not suitable for those seeking easy, fast-paced fun.
