Hi! Your friend's new gaming PC looks powerful with that i7 11th gen processor and RTX3050. Even when playing Elden Ring at low settings, it's running around 15-20 FPS, which is solid. His system should definitely handle the game well, especially if he keeps the graphics and settings in check.

Is it a fresh install of windows? If no reinstall windows. If it is DDU the Driver(s) and reinstall, if that fails use an older driver.

Jebus, this reaction might be excessive. It's better to consider DDU first.

Well, sure... definitely a DDU. And yeah, we're just going for 1080p quality.

Using the Elden Ring game ready driver from Nvidia might improve performance significantly. Right now it's stuck at around 14fps, and while a downgrade could push it to 60fps, I'm not sure it would be that easy. Since I can't easily reinstall Windows, this could help, though it will take about a month to back up everything needed for the reinstall.

It might be the CPU turbo limiting performance. Elden Ring is known to be quite demanding on the CPU, and if your i7-11th generation model isn’t handling it well, that could be the issue.

No, Elden Ring isn't the sole title with low frame rates. Many games face this issue.

I did a DDU and then downgraded the graphics settings. It really puzzled me—just an update made such a big difference, jumping from 14 fps on ultra low to 70-80 on high. Appreciate the guidance!
