Elden Ring capped at 60 FPS – no ultrawide options for PC. The PC release will feature up to 4K resolution. This update might seem new, but I haven’t found any discussion about it. I created this post since there wasn’t one already. With the launch coming Friday, my enthusiasm for this game is almost gone unless a mod appears. Updated February 24, 2022 by LogicalDrm

The review highlights positive aspects while noting it's primarily a console title.

No wide support at all? That’s not good. I think it might be a big issue.

I regret that the initial notable critic dare not offer a truly favorable assessment.

Because I lack an ultra-wide view, I assumed a 60fps frame rate would work since previous Souls titles did. It doesn’t matter much as long as the experience is solid.

My primary and second rigs are set at 3840x1080 and 3440x1440, which means no UW compatibility—no option available.

Based on around 80 reviews, it seems this product is likely to be a standout choice or a letdown by the end of the year.

It's odd that the frame rate stays at 22. It should still offer a fun experience for many. I could check out the game—though it isn't my usual taste, I'm trying to stay open to new things.
