Egpu is a great choice.

I already own an RTX 2060 from a damaged machine. I'm thinking about adding an eGPU for my laptop with USB-C and internal graphics. My laptop runs an 11th gen i5-1135G5 at 2.40HZ, but my main problem is upgrading RAM—only 8GB available. An eGPU wouldn't help much since it needs extra Thunderbolt ports for VR, and I'm not sure if my current setup can support that. My goal is to decide whether I should save for a full PC or use the 2060 as a GPU in a new build. What do you think?
it was really tough to read without any clarity eGPUs often don't make sense just wait for a full desktop
1135G5 will run at full capacity continuously with a 2060 rating. I previously tried similar configurations using the 1065G7 and a 1080 model. Over time, the CPU's heat buildup from constant 100% operation could cause the battery to overheat and shut down. It would be better to build a new desktop for the 2060. Even with high-end options like a 12100f or R5 5600, performance would still be improved.
Haha, I got caught driving too fast... sorry, I was just having a drink.
I understand your point but I must disagree. She has dyslexia and is Russian, which affects her English and causes word order problems. It’s much harder for people to assist if they can’t grasp these challenges. My goal is simply to improve your responses, not to criticize you. Hope this helps resolve your issue!
