I noticed Eero supporting a techlink episode, but it looks like they might not have fully reviewed or grasped the licensing terms for some software. It seems GPL 2/3 and LGPL code could only be released three years after the routers stop being distributed, which doesn’t make much sense. Turning the open source compliance into a document feels like a nice touch, but why would a router need libplymouth2?

Sure, I understand. It's important to be GPL compliant by releasing the source alongside the software. This ensures the community can benefit from updates, rather than waiting years for changes to become usable in existing codebases.
