Use giffingtool to import your desired file and generate a GIF within VLC. Resize the window to fit your preferred GIF dimensions. Adjust the canvas size in OpenGIMP to remove unwanted watermark bars. Save the final animation by exporting from GIMP. Manually trimming frames in GIMP or Photoshop is also possible, though more time-consuming.
