Hi everyone, and Linus, lately I keep hearing mixed things about Google’s changes. Some say Edge became too slow and Chrome is more reliable, but they claim this was done to hinder Edge through hidden code tricks. What I’ve learned is that these hidden codes make Edge use more power and drain batteries faster than Chrome. This only happens when EdgeHTML tries to load certain pages like YouTube, but Chrome doesn’t react the same way. That’s why Chrome remains a better choice for most users.

I’ve been using Edge for over three to five years now. I really enjoy it because it’s fast and smooth, though it lacks some extensions. Recently, I found out that YouTube sometimes behaves strangely in Edge, Gmail stops working properly, and Chrome still functions well. People are talking nonstop, but I think these rumors are unfair. I believe they’re misleading and possibly even illegal.

YouTube is a search engine offering products. Developers may modify the source code freely provided the user agrees to the terms of service.

It seems you're questioning whether something is legally permissible but ethically questionable.

That's the problem we face. For them, it's all about profit, not ethics, unfortunately.

A tiny fragment of code originally intended for different use interrupted Edge's advanced video speed-up technology. Despite this, the videos continued to work properly, behaving as expected without any noticeable issues.
