Hi,
I did something a while back to reduce Edge's background usage while using Firefox. I ran into issues with a website and thought it might be related to Firefox, so I tried opening it in Edge. Not only could I not access that site, but Edge also refused to open any other sites. I've tried various online fixes, but nothing has worked. I'm still seeing the message:
Hmmm… can't reach this page
The connection was reset.
Check the connection, the proxy, and the firewall
Run Windows Network Diagnostics
ERR_CONNECTION_RESET
How can I get Edge working again?
Mark.

Router - details on make, model (or modem/router if combined)?
The router's logs, if accessible and active, might offer some insight.
Who possesses complete administrative privileges for the router? Assistance will be required from that individual.
Which "online fixes" did not resolve the issue? Any relevant references?

Router: Huawei DG8041W
I checked the user log, firewall log, and debug log. Are they helpful?
I managed to connect to the router.
I tried the steps from the video I watched:

Review the Reliability History and Event Viewer. One or both might be recording certain error codes, warnings, or events. Begin with the Reliability History; it’s more intuitive and the timeline view could show trends. Event Viewer demands more time and work. FYI: Also examine the hosts file – just for confirmation. https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-hosts-file-guide/

Hi,
Thank you for your suggestion. I haven't identified any critical events involving Edge in the Reliability History. Regarding the Event Viewer, I didn't find any errors containing the word 'Edge' under Windows Logs>Application. The only entries I found were 'edgeupdatem' and 'edgeupdate', both with an event ID of 0. The most recent update was recorded in January this year, and I'm aware that Edge has been non-functional for a considerable time. I've also cleared the DNS and NetBIOS Cache and reset the Hosts file. Despite these actions, Edge still fails to load websites.

I discovered a solution. It was related to a Kaspersky problem,
as described in detail.
Appreciate your assistance.
Mark.
