It seems I might be interpreting the specs incorrectly, possibly because of the current TMSC scarcity. I hope ECC prices keep dropping. With a Zen3 CPU that supports ECC, I was planning to stock my motherboard with 128GB RAM. I often notice ECC memory is more affordable and performs better than what local stores offer. For instance: $352 – Crucial Ballistix 64GB Kit DDR4-3200 (BL2K32G32C16U4B) 16-18-18-36; $230 – Samsung 2x32GB DDR4-2133 ECC (M393A4K40BB0) 15-15-15.

The reduced speeds don't improve performance; a 3200Mhz clock versus 2133Mhz is better. 3200Mhz CL16 has 10ns latency, while 2133Mhz CL15 has 15ns (lower is preferable).

I understand, I need to perform calculations to account for the higher clock speed. That way I can ensure an accurate comparison. Thanks!

Also consider the error check; it increases latency.
