Hey, it's 5 AM and I'm feeling a bit emotional while replaying old YouTube clips of those classic EA games—FIFA Street, NBA Street, NFL Street, especially Def Jam Fight For NY. It was clearly my top pick, and even after all these years the visuals still shine in the scenes. After digging into the details, I learned that EA shut down the studio behind this project following the poor reception of Dej Jam Icon. I still don’t grasp why FIFA Street or the NBA/NFL Street titles haven’t come out yet. I wouldn’t rule out a remastered version. Watching the video shows how far ahead this game was back then. Hopefully, we’ll see some of these games on modern consoles and PC in the future.

In reality, I enjoyed the FIFA Street series and they released a remake for PS3 in 2010, along with FIFA Street 3. However, there haven't been any more updates about future Street series titles, which is disappointing.

Excessive street shooting leads them to stop playing football, shifting their attention to high-action, street-style games such as NFS instead of traditional sports.

They prefer to launch their 2016 update for Madden 2015 instead of developing a new title.

I always keep my copy of NBA Street Homecourt because it’s still a great game. I wish I had bought the other NBA Street titles too.

I really enjoyed Def Jam Fight For New York. I spent a lot of time playing it. I might grab the Xbox and relive it.
