Feeling the need to upgrade RAM slots, but encountered a C5 error on the motherboard.
As a threadripper, it’s likely the issue is with the mounting. Ensure even tightening and avoid moving it in one direction repeatedly, which can restrict its movement.
Are you using all 512GB of DRAM at 3200 MT/s? Consider lowering it to 3000 MT/s and retry. Remember, it supports DDR4-3200 MHz. Also, adding more modules increases the load on the CPU's memory controller. These are high-density units. When testing them individually, basic checks like MemTest86 aren't sufficient—multiple runs over hours are necessary, particularly for 128GB sticks. Nice observation there.
Based on my background with memtest86, unless the parts are faulty or damaged, catching erratic behavior is tough. I owned a fairly old Quadro that was acting up like a Christmas tree, but most of the memory checks—except one—showed it worked fine as expected.
