I found an E5-2680V4 (14 cores) and X99 combos for around $80 on a local site. The Broadwell platform looks great, and I’ll need only dimmer switches to enable quad channel. Also, this could be useful for testing old cards in SLI, just for fun!

Great offer, but keep in mind these low-priced "X99" boards are often just an Intel server chipset hidden inside.

Huananzhi has a solid reputation, making it unlikely it would match those unpredictable Chinese platforms. Regarding Broadwell, it’s uncertain if it will keep up with newer software around 2025.
