Snaps aren't as effective, so unless you can't function without them, I'd opt for apt. Isn't this just another Chromium update?

It's a chromium version with a frustrating, inconsistent adblocker.

I understand snapd needs to be added. @JustThomasWith4845 might want suggestions on which programs to install first. I think starting with Ubuntu or Mint packages makes sense. Firefox (Waterfox, Pale Moon) versus Chrome (Chromium, Brave...) isn’t the right moment yet. Firefox is excellent and fast for graphics cards supporting Vulkan, while Chrome works better with older OpenGL/GLES GPUs. Both might require some adjustments for optimal performance. Regardless of the browser or setup, the first step should be installing an adblocker from the appstore (Nano for me) and Steam. It might lack some x86-32 libraries, but there should be guides to install it easily. Via Steam you’ll get CS:GO and other FPS games, which can help with stats even if playtime is limited. Vlc and/or SMPlayer, Gimp, Krita, Blender are among many options available.

From a software perspective, Clemintine works well as a music player and VLC supports almost all media formats. Google Chrome functions somewhat poorly, so if you prefer traditional methods, consider alternatives like Firefox.
