I have a B450 GAMING PRO carbon AC motherboard and I was considering a CPU upgrade from Ryzen 2600 to 5800X3D. I decided to update the BIOS to the latest version, skipping a few updates, but now my system isn’t performing well—Ethernet is unreliable and I’m stuck using Wi-Fi. I’m unsure if I should downgrade the BIOS or reinstall the same one I used with the 5800X3D.

Check for the earliest reference matching 5800x3d. Also, did you reinstall your BIOS? You should have done that.

You can leave those connections in place and just detach the GPU, storage, and RAM. The fan and case connectors stay attached unless you specifically need to disconnect them.

Carry out the request as instructed, ensuring the peripherals remain unaffected.
